A boat in the form of a big violin, constructed as an homage to men and women who have died from Covid-19, had a exam voyage in Venice on Friday as a cellist performed on the deck, according to the Each day Mail.

Noah’s Violin was built by artist and woodcarver Livio De Marchi for the duration of the pandemic in collaboration with the Venice Progress Consortium.

The floating instrument was constructed to be effortlessly disassembled and rebuilt. It will be formally launched on 19 September when it will cruise all over the lagoon city.
